Plan Your Visit
What to Wear
To ensure that the butterflies are attracted to you, it’s advisable to wear light-colored clothing. White is always a good choice, but other light colors like yellow, orange and pink will also work well. Avoid wearing dark colors like black or brown since these will usually repel them.
When to Visit
An ideal time to visit Butterfly Wonderland is during the week since it tends to be less crowded then. However, if you can only visit on the weekends, try to get there early in the day since admission tickets are only sold until one hour before closing time.
How long should you stay?
We spent about two hours at Butterfly Wonderland. However, if you want to take your time and enjoy everything the conservatory offers, plan on staying for three hours or more.

We had such a memorable time at Butterfly Wonderland in Phoenix! The conservatory was the most impressive part; it felt like we were transported into a tropical jungle. It was magnificent since it’s located in the Arizona desert. The Red-Spotted Purples are one of the most beautiful butterflies in Arizona, and I was so excited when one landed on my shoulder. This is an experience that will last a lifetime.
